2D Character Acting – Double Take Reaction

2D Character Acting – Double Take Reaction

A short acting exercise focused on timing, anticipation, and reaction.

In this shot the character stands casually before noticing something off-screen and performing a delayed double-take.

The animation focuses on subtle anticipation through eye direction, followed by a fast head overshoot to emphasise the surprise.

Animated in Toon Boom Harmony using the Smilez character rig by Jordan Beatty.
